Well Said, Now We Wait for Well Done

The new MACC chief, in a public statement, said that she will go after corruption “wherever it is found” Well said indeed and it is to be fervently hoped that she will do as she has promised.

There is no problem in locating corruption. Under Najib Malaysia was systematically corrupted in most if not all aspects of both public and private life. One of the most outstanding examples of this is the State of Sarawak where corrupt politicians have been robbing for their personal benefit the natural resources of the State for over forty years

Time enough for this particular example of mega corruption to have attracted MACC notice and it can be the first target for the new Chief in her promised campaign. What will happen nobody knows today but all Malaysians hope that when the first anniversary of her statement occurs she will be able to point to a cleaned up State which has been, and still is, a disgrace to democracy  and to Malaysia itself.
