Press reports indicate that the PDRM have prevented some 25 terrorist “strikes” since 2013. Such a large number of alleged incidents of the kind must be worrying to many Malaysians to whom this news comes as a surprise. Especially as, if there have been any, criminal proceedings against those responsible seem to have gone unreported. Assuming there were any, of course.
It is unlike the PDRM to be coy about its successes which are usually widely reported. Twenty-five strikes and no prosecutions? Or even preventive detention? The public are entitled to more detail and Bukit Aman should supply it.
