Sin And Damnation In Hell

This is how PAS leader Hadi Awang once described allowing non-Muslims to hold major political power. One supposes that this absurd and irrelevant notion did nothing to worry UMNO when it recently partnered with PAS; this time openly instead of privately as before the last general election.

Now that they are political allies and partners UMNO must state openly whether it agrees with Hadi’s view and would implement it should they ever regain office. Will they do that??

The modern world is full of examples of the harm done when religion determines politics. Do any sensible Malaysians really want such a state of affairs in their own country? It is hard to believe but a start could be made by all BN sitting members in the Assembly making an open and irrevocable declaration whether they agree with Hadi’s view and would vote for its implementation. Individual fanatics can be ignored but in a matter so fundamental no responsible political party can remain silent. Speak up UMNO!
