Press reports state that the head of the CID in the PDRM is “making a plea to the public for information on the whereabouts of Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown”. IF true this amounts to staggering incompetence on his part as most Malaysians are well aware that she is in London where incompetent foreign police forces cannot harass her with cooked up criminal charges.

No doubt, in making this plea he is trying to convince his political masters in PN that he is doing all he can. If so a more convincing line of action would be to start investigations into PN crookery. But that, of course, would be mere police work and probably beneath the attention of so important a policeman. As the saying goes “None so blind as those who will not see!
