There appears to be increasing obscurity around the financial conduct of the Sarawak State government. especially over the proposed borrowing of billions to “fund major development projects”.
Questions about this posed in the State Assembly do not appear to have received satisfactory answers, so adding to existing doubts. In a situation of that kind the obvious move would seem to be an in depth enquiry by the Audit Department backed, as necessary, by the Auditor General.
Will Chief Minister Johari take that step to ensure that all doubts about the correctness of the financial conduct of the State government can be resolved. No one WANTS another 1MDB so far better to be sure now rather than sorry later.
