Minority Oppression

Once again fanatics within PN are calling for the abolition of alcohol sales.  One is entitled to ask why they think that something that is permitted by the Constitution should be banned?

Malaysia is, or was, a free society with a Parliament elected by the voters.  If a particular community are barred by their religion from the use of alcohol then those who profess that faith should abstain and leave others to live their lives as they wish.

What next? Public executions on Friday’s of those accused of breach of religious prohibitions?
