Manifesto Problem

BN Sarawak, faced with an election they would give anything to avoid holding, have a real problem in drafting a manifesto. What to put in it puzzled BN supporters ask?

Well it is a problem. How about “We will continue to steal everything we can lay our hands on?”  “BN proudly follows the example of our Leader Naib Razak?”  “Vote for BN, the biggest criminals in Malaysian history”

None of these seem likely to attract a majority of voters so doubtless they will resort to some anodyne lies about “development” and rely on the usual bribery and intimidation to produce once more the majorities of the past.

But things are different this time. Now the voters KNOW that BN and its leaders are just common criminals  stealing whatever they can. To return them to power would simply be to approve their criminal activity and ensure that the remaining assets of the State are stolen before they have to run for it.

None of this is news. Sarawakians have known for years that the State was in the hands of kleptocratic politicians like former CM Taib and current CM Adenan. They simply did not know what to do about it? Report to the Police? The cops,or at least their leaders, are as corrupt and gutless as their political masters.

Speak out in public?  A sure ticket to detention without trial or a charge of “sedition” The State appeared all powerful so better just to take whatever bribe was on offer and keep quiet. That only worked when the criminal Administration, led by arch criminals Najib and Taib, could still pretend to be honest leaders working for their people.

Now Sarawakians, and all Malaysians, know better. The “leaders” they have been induced to vote for have been shown in their true light. Criminals. Huge scale riminals but criminals just the same.

Would you willingly vote for a murderer? So why vote for a thief?  If BN was a genuine party wanting to improve the public good the first thing it would do would be to clean house, prosecute the criminal leadership and elect new honest leaders. Why has it not done that? Because there are no honst leaders inside BN.  So why give it a single vote?
