Malay Imperialism

Speaking publicly Sarawak CM Adenan (Taibenan) Satem suggested that Prime Minister Najib should “marry an Iban woman”.

Leaving to one side why any self respecting Iban lady would contemplate marriage with the most notorious criminal in Malaysian history the incident shows the Sarawak Malay/Melanau community in its true, if ugly, light.

These inheritors of Brunei Malay privilege form a very small part of the population of Sarawak compared to the majority of Ibans and other indigenous peoples but, supported by the peninsular Malay elite, they continue to display the arrogance and ignorance that the White Rajahs so intelligently manipulated in their campaign of extension of their fiefdom from the Sarawak river to the borders of Brunei.

That ascendancy has persisted since Independence and the initial majority administration of Dayak Stephen Ningkan soon gave way to a series of Malay/Melanaus who continue to hold the reins of power to this day; using the financial leverage derived from their theft of native lands  and timber.

This despicable conduct is to be condemned in the strongest possible terms.  But its fragility in the face of an huge indigenous majority is protected by a web of bribery and influnce peddling. A web that could be ripped away for good if the indigenous peoples ceased to regard as “perintah” the criminal BN  administration and refused to vote BN on that false ground or for the, largely minimal, bribes handed out at election time by BN. Money that has, Ibans and others should realise, been stolen from them in the first place.

The election is coming this year. Wake up Sarawakians! Open your eyes to all the crimes committed against you by the Kuching governing clique. Throw them out and then throw them in jail.
